DESCRIPTION
Oregano oil is a health food supplement obtained from the leaves of oregano , an aromatic plant belonging to the Lamiaceae family.
This oil is rich in bioactive compounds , including carvacrol and thymol, which are the main components responsible for its powerful aromatic properties. Oregano oil also has benefits for intestinal and stomach health.
The production of Oregano Oil begins with harvesting the oregano leaves, usually at the time of full bloom, followed by drying to preserve the essential oils . The oil is extracted through steam distillation, where water vapor releases the oils from the plant cells, which are then condensed and separated. The raw essential oil is purified to remove impurities, then diluted with a carrier oil (in this case olive oil) to reach the desired concentration.
This oil is encapsulated in soft gel capsules , protected from oxidation , and subjected to rigorous quality controls before being packaged and labeled.
This product is concentrated at a ratio of 10 to 1. This means that 10 units of the raw material (oregano leaves) were used to produce 1 unit of the final extract. For example, to obtain 1 gram of the extract, 10 grams of the original raw material were required.
